Information on encapsulation of comics books
CGC is the world's largest and most trusted third-party grading service for comic books. Accurate, consistent and impartial grading from CGC has made the hobby safer, more transparent and more vibrant. Collectors and dealers trust that any collectible graded by CGC has been authenticated, checked for restoration and graded according to widely accepted standards by multiple professionals.
Submit to CGC through Comics Heaven and insurance, shipping, handling fees etc. are included in our prices! We will help you assess your comics prior to submission.
Please refer to the table below for a breakdown of the prices for grading. We visit CGC for drop off about every 10 weeks, so depending on when you drop your comics to us it will usually take 10 to 19 weeks to get your comics back. It can on occasion be longer but we will inform you of the approximate turnaround time when you drop off your comics.

CGC cannot authenticate signed comics, even with a 'certificate of authenticity'. If you wish to obtain a Signature Series (gold label) CGC comic, you will need a CGC representative to witness the signing of a comic, usually at a comic convention or show.
